Evening of music with Whaletone piano in Warszawa Wschodnia restaurant to support World Whale Day
On the 16th of February 2013, first time in Poland, Whaletone brand organized a special musical event with Whaletone piano in Warszawa Wschodnia restaurant in celebration of the World Whale Day to support the mission of Pacific Whale Foundation (www.pacificwhale.org). Every year the foundation draws the world public’s attention of to the necessity of our active engagement in the protection of endangered species of marine mammals.
The evening hosted by Jacek Brzeszczyński (Jazzek, musicunited.pl/jacek_brzeszczynski.html) was opened by his original performance in repertoire entitled “Krople Życia” (“The drops of Life”). Jacek (vocal & piano) performed with his band of Mariusz Obijalski (piano), Nathan Williams (trumpet) and Artur Krawczyk (contrabass).

Together with pianist Grzegorz Urban and guitarist Tomek Pfeiffer, Kasia performedher new piece “Underwater” – a song that she wrote especially for Whaletone, opening our further artistic cooperation.
Warszawa Wschodnia restaurant (gessler.sohofactory.pl), was the host and co-organizer of the event; the guests, besides of amazing musical impressions, had chance to experience the exquisite cooking by restaurant’s chefs Mateusz Gessler i Robert Kondziela in the masterful fusion of Polish tradition with a hint of French cuisine.
Thanks to the hospitality of Warszawa Wschodnia’s scene Whaletone found his place in Warsaw for longer. More musical specialties coming soon!

Whaletone Night – a very special night to celebrate 40th birthday of Robert Majkut, the designer of Whaletone piano.
Whaletone, which was premiered in Milan during this year’s Design Week and made special appearance in the final of the Polish edition of X Factor, played live in Poland for the first time on July 13th.

Opening concert of pianist Krzysztof Dys together with Maciej “Kocin” Kociński on saxophone tuned the guests into a great mood. Gaba Kulka, a critically acclaimed artist, took over in a surprise concert for Robert, playing piano and singing beautiful birthday songs. More musical gifts were to arrive later, as spontaneous performances of Nathan Williams on trumpet with the accompaniment of Piotr Walicki on piano, and magical concert of Poland’s most amazing mezzosoprano – Izabela Kopeć. Together with Beata Szałwińska, a pianist from Luxembourg, they gave a performance of songs by Astor Piazzolla. The excellent mood of the following dance party was provided by DJ Trent.
It was a night to remember – a celebration of great music in a unique atmosphere supported by Hennessy.
From Thursday the 14th until the end of July Whaletone will be exhibited for the public at 3F Studio, 28B Nowolipki Street, Warsaw. Opening hours: weekdays 11:00-19:00, Saturday 11:00-15:00.
Polish premiere of Whaletone in X Factor
On Sunday – the 5th of June – the Polish premiere of Whaletone, a spectacular piano designed by Robert Majkut, will take place. Whaletone will be presented on stage during the final of the first edition of X Factor on TVN.
Whaletone has been presented only once during the Design Week in Milan in April. From the day of its premiere, Whaletone – the new icon of Polish design – is gaining more and more publicity all over the world.
